150..and Blown Away

150 copies. That means that I've sold copies of books to more people than I know. It's funny when you tell people you're writing a book...everyone tells you how they cant wait to read it.

Well, I can tell you that most of them will be lying to you. I'm not bashing or condemning them. I probably wouldn't spend my money on someone local either. So to the people that said they would buy my book and haven't, to quote 2pac...I ain't mad at ya.

Back to the title of the blog, 150 copies. I never, in my wildest dreams, thought I would sell 150 copies to people (now if i could just get people to start leaving reviews of the damn thing!) or that I would get emails from people telling me how much they liked it. ***As an aside, I will probably not be taking creative input on the next one from people I don't know. If I did, I wouldn't be much of a writer, would I?***

To the 150 people that took a chance on me, I appreciate it more than you know. I did this as a "Bucket List" thing and fell in love with it. Countless hours of researching and trying to improve went on after about 20,000 words, and I will be continuing trying to improve as I go forward.

2nd BOOK UPDATE:

I'm about 2 chapters deep into the second book and already laughing at the things Mayson is saying and doing. Coldon is asserting himself into the story more and Lane/Sid are going to take me to a few places I'm not sure I'm ready to go.

Oh, the joys of writing.
